What VylintShield Is

VylintShield is a document generation tool. It helps organizations create compliance-related documentation — policies, procedures, risk assessments, access control matrices, and similar artifacts — more efficiently by providing structured templates and guided workflows.

What VylintShield Is Not

VylintShield ISVylintShield IS NOT
A document generation toolA compliance certification service
A template library and workflowAn audit service or auditor
A productivity aid for documentationA legal or compliance consultant
A starting point for your programA guarantee of regulatory compliance

No Certification

VylintShield does not certify your organization against SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS, or any other standard or framework. Certification requires a formal process with an accredited third-party auditor — VylintShield is not that auditor and does not facilitate that process.

No Audit

VylintShield does not perform security audits. Documents generated through our platform do not constitute evidence of a passed audit and should not be represented as such.

No Legal Advice

VylintShield does not provide legal advice. Nothing generated by VylintShield constitutes legal counsel. You should consult a qualified attorney for legal guidance.

No Compliance Guarantee

Purchasing or using VylintShield does not make your organization compliant with any law, regulation, or framework. Compliance is an organizational practice — a tool alone cannot create it.

Your Responsibility

As a VylintShield user, you are responsible for:

  1. Reviewing all generated documents and customizing them to reflect your organization’s actual practices, systems, and controls
  2. Implementing the controls and practices described in any generated policy or procedure
  3. Engaging qualified professionals — certified security professionals (CISSP, CISM), compliance specialists, and legal counsel — to review your program
  4. Pursuing formal certification through an accredited certification body if a certification designation is required for your business
  5. Not misrepresenting VylintShield-generated documents to auditors, regulators, customers, or partners as evidence of a completed compliance program

Appropriate Use

VylintShield outputs are best used as:

  • First drafts that your team then customizes and owns
  • Structural guides for building out a compliance documentation set
  • Time-savers for organizations that already have qualified compliance or legal staff to review the outputs

VylintShield outputs are not appropriate as:

  • Submission-ready documents for a SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audit without professional review
  • Evidence of compliance in a regulatory inquiry
  • A substitute for a qualified compliance program
